Why does my customer require a Client Code to receive their High-Value parcel in New Zealand?

NZ customs have a clearance requirement where a client code is required to lodge clearance on a parcel.

If the receiver’s goods exceed the threshold and are worth more than NZ$1000, a client code is required for clearance.

How to apply for a client code:

1. Click on the above weblink to NZ customs page regarding client code
2. Complete the form by downloading the highlighted from NZ customs page:

3. Fill in the form and sign page 3

4. Send the form with requires to NZ customs directly at [e-mail]

5. NZ customs will review and process your application, if you have not heard back from NZ customs and would like to follow up please contact clientupdate.request@ customs.govt.nz

6. Email regarding client application should be received by NZ customs

7. Send seko the client code with confirmation accepting the custom fees.
